This Privacy Policy explains how Aitern collects, uses, and protects data when merchants install and use the Aitern Shopify app.
Information we process
Aitern processes information needed to provide app functionality, including Shopify store identifiers, product and product media metadata, task history, workflow settings, audit events, and compressed image artifacts generated by the app.
Product image compression may temporarily process original product images so the app can create optimized media and publish it back to Shopify.
How we use information
- To authenticate stores and run requested Shopify workflows.
- To show task history, debug trails, and review information inside the app.
- To store workflow outputs and artifacts needed for restore and troubleshooting.
- To monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve app behavior.
Information sharing
We do not sell merchant data. We use Shopify and trusted service providers to host, process, store, monitor, and secure app data as needed to operate Aitern. These providers may change over time as the app evolves.
Retention
We retain task history, settings, logs, and artifacts for as long as needed to provide the app, support restore workflows, troubleshoot issues, comply with obligations, and maintain operational records. Merchants can request deletion by contacting support.
Security
Aitern uses HTTPS, scoped credentials, managed infrastructure, and operational logging to protect app data. Access to production systems is limited to authorized operators.
Your choices
Merchants can uninstall the app from Shopify Admin. For data access, correction, export, or deletion requests, email support@aitern.ai.
